Aurora, Muonio

From our trip to Lapland last week. One clear cold night before moon rise we got some great auroras in the northern sky.
328 seconds exposure, the house is light painted with a flashlight.

Aurora in Turku

I thought there wouldn't be any aurora in the city sky because of the light pollution. But some faint ones could be seen. Photographing a faint streak of aurora on a city sky didn't really get me a good picture. So I had to come up with a more creative composition, here is the result :)

Last night we got our first snow for the year in Turku. October is still pretty early for this stuff over here. But why complain when it yields nice photos! Trees are still partially covered in leaves.

Bought the Nikon EM this week! First test roll processed and it seems to work perfectly. The camera has aperture priority auto exposure wich seems to work great. Quite a dull grey sky today :)

My Agfa Isolette I for #VintageCameraTuesday curated by +Meg Rousher , +Gerhard Müller and +Manfred Berndtgen

I bought this camera from a local flea market a few months ago for about 20€. When I brought it home I realized that the focusing was stuck. After looking for answers on the internet I felt confident to disassemble the lens and clean out the sticky lube from it´s threads. Afterwards i adjusted the lens sharpness by using a ground glass screen and a magnifying glass. In my opinion it turned out quite well in the end. Some of my photos are still out of focus, but that is because I forgot to adjust the lens before taking a picture :D16 comments - Read in G+
