Week 15: HDR
This is a 3-Shot HDR processed with NIK from Sunday Morning.
I love this little colonial town on the Delaware River...about 30 miles before the river empties into the bay.  It is loaded with wonderful hidden alley's and just FEELS rich in history...it is one of those towns where it wouldn't even surprise me to find out all it's citizen's are actually ghosts...it is a wonderful gem hidden in the middle of industrial and urban sprawl.

Cold Skies
This was a true challenge this week as our temps have been about 20-30 degrees above average...so I tried to process in the chill, going for cooler tones and desat, and some high contrast to make the grass look as if it had some snow hanging around:)
I also set the horizon very low because I feel the large skies and smallness add to the cold.  This is a fun project :)

Week 10: Depth of Field
I looove shooting with varying DOF, and this is a pretty tight one...my iPhone Olloclip macro lens has a ridiculously shallow DOF, and yields some pretty amazing shots...the only drawback is you must get within about an inch of the subject, and at times the DOF is so shallow that just pressing the shutter will throw of focus...for this shot I was able to lean my phone on my desk...I liked the graph paper as a contrast to the paperclip :)

Week 16: Technology
To me, plastics really sums up our advancements in technology...from chemical engineering, to disposable lifestyle, for better or worse.  Combined with the fact that I captured and edited this on my #iphoneonly  using #biglens   and #snapseed   (and could have posted it as well, just not into the album...which still bothers me...oh well...some technical advancements to strive for!)

Z is for Zooreka!  This game has some really great playing pieces and is loads of fun.  You move around the board collecting pieces to build your Zoo  It's a kids game but it is fun to play for all :)

Home
About a month ago I asked for some feedback on pics I was submitting for a local art show.  I ended up keeping 3 from the original share, and adding 2 more recent shots.  The theme of the show is Home and I am thrilled to say I am on my way to deliver all 5 images to my first juried photography show!  They will be on display for the entire month of March at the gallery!  It's been a lot of fun and a great learning experience!

V is for Vision

I have been wearing glasses since 8th Grade (30+ years).  Ironically, however, my eyesight has barely changed each year since, so the prescription is not real strong.  In fact, this past year, they improved...go figure.
As a young teen I remember thinking about the possibility of losing my eyesight...or hearing...and as a musician, I remember thinking if it had to be one or the other, I would much rather go blind than miss out on the beautiful music I listened to.  Well I can tell you in the year or so now that I have been taking pictures and enjoying photography from those of you on G+, that decision is no longer so cut and dry.
Thanks to all of you for literally opening my eyes to something new, and sharing your visions!  (And if I should happen to lose both, God forbid...at least there are cigars...lol)
