Just discovered something "strange"... Could you confirm? => is Google+1 using Facebook OpenGraph data when submitting a link?
Background: on one of the Wordpress blogs I manage for a band, I had the following meta <!-- start Facebook opengraph data --> <meta property="og:title" content="AllesTones - brass Band from Benin - official blog" /> <meta property="og:site_name" content="AllesTones" /> <meta property="fb:admins" content="didier.j.mary" /> <meta property="og:type" content="blog" /> <meta property="og:url" content="http://www.allestones.com/" /> <meta property="og:image" content="http://allestones.com/img/allestones_thumbnail.jpg" /> <meta property="og:description" content="Alle'sTones is next generation Brass Band from Benin." /> <!-- end Facebook opengraph data -->
After adding the +1 button, I clicked on 2 pages and I checked on my Google profile what was uploaded... Both pages appeared with the same description, exactly what I had put in og:title, og:description, og:url
I then removed these meta from the blog, and tried +1 on another page... This time, the description was taken from the Title tag & the 1st line from the content...
What do you think? Is this a way to keep consistency between the like & +1 buttons? To "synchonize" both graphs? To optimize indexing between both platforms?
RESHARE: ecouter HFT me ramene loin dans le temps...

"Norwegian Prime Minister Stoltenberg is absolutely right when he says we must fight antidemocratic lunacy with more democracy and more humanity. His quote from one of the young on Utøya, "if one man can show so much hate, imagine how much love we all can show together", is one of the most statemanworthy I have seen in my entire life. Both when it came from the young surviving lady right off the island, and from Stoltenberg on repeating it in his official capacity."

Alle'sTones is the "Next Generation" Brass Band from Benin. They'll be in Europe for the 1st time this August, starting with 6 gigs in Belgium... Listen to their 1st album on SoundCloud http://soundcloud.com/allestones or check their OneSheet for more info http://onesheet.com/allestones/
Finally... ReverbNation splits Reggae/World genre into 2 separate genres... I had requested this for more than a year... Still waiting to have worldmap instead of a map of USA only to see where the fans are located...

Edit your profile and select the employment section In the first 'employer name' box write you BIO Check off the current box on the the right and click save! To see it in action I had to leave Google + and come back, but obviously it works beautifully!!
Duke Ellington's Caravan revisited by AfroJazz Trio. Djeli Moussa Diawara is a Kora virtuoso with a unique 32-strings instrument... I'm sure you'll enjoy this track!
NSFW (?) but here's the encounter of 2 "giants" : Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Serge Gainsbourg... with 1 piano each... Performing Constipation blues (English & French "lyrics"... ;-)

Demain, je me remets à écrire... J'ai abandonné mes blogs (+Blog KoToNTeeJ par exemple) depuis trop longtemps...
OK, here's the idea : take parts of a few Wii remotes, of Guitar Hero controllers, add telephones and a touchscreen, mix with real (then modified) instruments to create a new breed of wireless musical instruments. The result is the Brazilian band Percussivo Mundo Novo... Listen to Shogun...
I hadn't posted for a while on my "main" music blog,+Blog KoToNTeeJ, due to... well, many factors that I won't explain here... In the "In my ears" serie, here's the 3rd "quick'n'dirty" post... French music, sound & music design, technology and music... all with videos... Hope you'll find one that fits your "needs"...

Most of the blogs I manage use a plugin (WordPress Mobile Pack) to allow mobiles to browse, with statistics provided by PercentMobile. Here are a few screenshots from my dashboard for my "main" blog KoToNTeeJ (about African and Jazz music - written in French). For the last 3 months, I had 3% visits coming from 78 "phones", from 73 different countries. The percentage of visits is equal across the blogs.
Shots I did for Djeli Moussa Diawara's concert in Paris last February. Opening was DMD as a traditional Manding trio (Balafon, N'goni, Kora). Then his new Jazz trio took the stage (Piano, Percussions, Kora(s)).
Create your own custom vanity URL to your Google+ profile, from your wordpress blog... e.g. http://www.cybear.eu/didierjm Explained at the end of this post. OK, it's in French, but Google Translate is available on the page...

Professor +Muhammad Yunus is on the jury to select a logo which will represent our Human Rights. Professor Yunus has selected his top 10 designs. Starting on the 27th of August, you can select the design that you want to represent Human Rights.
