While cruising around in the Berner Oberland, Switzerland, we were on the search for a parking spot to stretch the legs and take some photos... '1km to next P' ..
well.. uhm.. it was a parkingspot but somehow we did not stay that long :)
My contribution to #Flamingos (doesn't really exist but what the heck ey :D) Feel free to browse around on my +Page ; you are warmly welcome to circle it if the images please you. Cheers!
Posting .GIF is something I hardly do .. but since I'm seeing the nom-nom deer in my stream reappearing, I just had to share this one: Nomnom Deer with NomNom Guy.
Always find them very .. weirdly build .. as if the bottompart is missing. Love the eyes though - they always seem to be staring at you from no matter what angle you look at them :)
Caught in the act for #Two4Tuesday by +Mary C Legg
This little dude (girl?) was probably caught by our cat and brought inside 'to pleaze da humans' :) The mouse did have other thoughts about it and hide itself inside the washingmachine .. how practical - took quite some time getting him (her?) out. All at night, of course. Nothing as fun as waking them humans, ey cat! A short stay in a plastic box and off it went into the park nearby. poing poing
It was a rrrrrrrreally lovely day! 22celcius .. at March 25!
On the photo, taken today: my birthcity 'Nijmegen', the oldest city in the Netherlands. 2007 Years ago founded as Noviomagus, later on named ‘Numaga’ which changed over time to ‘Nieumeghen’, ‘Nimmegen’, ‘Nimwegen’ and 'Nijmegen'.
The image(s) are just tooooo fun but the story behind is maybe even more fun:
"Visiting a national park in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, award-winning photographer Mr Slater left his camera unattended for a while. It soon attracted the attention of an inquisitive female from a local group of crested black macaque monkeys, known for their intelligence and dexterity. Fascinated by her reflection in the lens, she then somehow managed to start the camera. The upshot: A splendid self-portrait."
hmm... I'm not sure if two entries are 'done' but I really like this one, maybe especially because not too long after the pic was made, the little fellow died :(
.. no matter how deep I dig into my memory .. I really can't remember where exactly I did take this picture. It was in a church in Paris, that much I do recall .. Beside some image cropping, no post-processing has been done.

It was a bit chilly but sooo quiet .. Taking a short break from a walk in the woods and just listening to the silence and watching the absence of people.
My 2nd attempt in portraits - thanks to my sweetie for letting me capture her (and posting :D).
After the town expanded across the river, a special bridge for pedestrians and bikers was attached to the railway bridge. Somehow the old and new shapes do match rather well I think :) For #monochromemonday by +Charles Lupica and +Jerry Johnson
well.. uhm.. what to say about this one .. You have it .. Without it your pc would be rather useless ..
a 4-shots Focus-merging experiment, capturing the read/write head of a harddisk drive. Not razorsharp 'cause its all handheld but naming it an experiment thats ok I guess :D
'Kronenburger Tower", at the Kronenburgerpark Nijmegen, NL The Kronenburgerpark in Nijmegen has an English landscape style. The thirty-meter high Gunpowder or Kronenburger Tower was built 1425 as a defense tower . Today, together with the round walltowers and parts of the old defensewall, it is merely a remnant of the demolished fortifications of Nijmegen. (Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands: today it goes back 2007 years in history)

I'd like naming this one as : "The Thinker, African Style" :-) Its a straight_out_of_camera (Canon Powershot Pro1) image I took quite some time ago already again (how time flies..). The wooden hand-carved figure is approx. 20cms in height.
For #ThinkingOnSunday - which doesn't exist but what the heck - it sounds kinda kewl doesn't it :)

Nijmegen, NL
-- In 1990 this monument for Joris Ivens, a famous cineast, was unveiled. The monument, made out of sheet steel and several metres high, brings to mind a bottle-opener but should be taken for a stylised film camera. It was designed by B. Maters. It carries the text: "Dikwijls, ver weg, bleef Nijmegen, mijn jeugd, toch dicht bij mij. Joris Ivens" (translation: Often, far away, Nijmegen, my youth, still remained close to me. Joris Ivens).
It was a nice day to be outdoors today. Unfortunately the sky was grey but ah well. Just before we reached our car again it started raining so timing was goodie :)
All shot at the 'Hatertse Vennen' with the Canon Powershot G12.
Can you guess what it is? .. nope.. not that ..nope.. neither .. 3.. 2.. 1..
its a cushioned view of a part of my harddisk as seen from the freeware app 'sequioaview' from the University of Technology, Eindhoven NL :) Trying (needing) to free up some space but that may be difficult :(

make sure: 1) Use headphones 2) Left speaker is on the left side; right speaker on the right side (please do check: wearing them at the wrong sides will spoil da fun) 3) You can safely turn up the volume: there are no sudden screams or loud noises: I promise! 4) Sit back; start playback and close your eyes
