I cannot believe I've ONLY JUST discovered+HootSuite *!!!! Bl**dy Awesome
I just came across this feature where you can see multiple circles at once!! Cool, this should make managing the +UK Photography Community page a whole lot easier :)))
Do you use +HootSuite ? If you don't yet ... you might really INSTANTLY love it like I do :)))))
Now.... can someone in Yorkshire post something so I can see if the page updates in real time or if I need to refresh every few minutes .... lol
1.20am Just got back from rushing Woody to the vet with suspected bloat, poor dog, ... they are doing what they need to do and I'm waiting to hear .....
WOW things move so fast here on Google Plus ... only last November I post something similar to this ...that was when I realised that 10,000 people were bothering to look at my work ...
Today approximately 26, 000 are people viewing my images. I find that kind of incredible. Humbling too and amazing at the same time.
So here is my challenge to you ..........
Okey dokey ♥ .... lovely people .... 26,000 of you "Have Heidi Anne (that's me) in their circles" ... I'd love you all to say hello and tell me about yourself in 13 words ....
here are my 13 words ..... friendly, helpful, love ~ music, animals, photos, people who smile & the kindness of strangers ..... x
This has to be the stupidest idea I've heard of without providing the ability to choose whether or not your image is downloaded on mass by someone else.
There is no way to turn this feature off and even if your own images are "supposedly" protected from being downloaded (in your own settings) it doesn't apply if you enter them into an event... or so it seems at the moment.
Bad idea +Chrys Bader Please can you provide the option to turn this feature off. (unless i'm missing something and it's there already - I have looked, if it's possible to disable this "feature" please point me in the right direction. Thank you)
Reshared text: Downloading all photos from an event
One of my favorite parts about Google+ Events is how it puts everyone's event photos into a single, shared album. Many of you have asked for the option to download all of these photos, all at once, and today we're excited to launch precisely this feature!
Simply visit your event page on the desktop, click 'Actions,' then click 'Download event photos.' And voila. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Good news & a feeling of relief x ♥ Just got the call from the vet to say Woody is doing well in recovery and can come home this morning. Off to fetch him shortly. I asked how he looks and following his operation (due to having a twisted stomach/bloat) he has a scar that stretches almost the length of his underside, from where his rib cage opens up to along side his penis. Big wound. Still once he's home he'll have the best nursing I can offer and some roast chicken for his dinner.
Thank you again to all who have offered their support and kindness ♥ H catch you later x

I really really like this, it's like an internet business card. So easy to customise it too! If you have one leave a link below and I'd drop by :O) Promise !

I mentioned yesterday that I intended to "tidy up" the many many circles I've accumulated over the last year.... well I'm all done, for now.
I've gone from around 50 different circles to just 9. Quite refreshing in a strange kind of way.
I thought I'd share this tip with you in case, like me, you've been considering doing your own clean up...
I had a minor revelation (half way through). I wondered whether I could share my "your going to be deleted circles" so that I could find them later and add them back if I wanted to.
You can do that if you share them with an empty circle you've created, mine's "read it later". So I shared them (privately) , checked they were in my stream and made sure I could added them again if I wanted to do. It all worked fine. I even signed out and back in and they are still available. ( _finding them again in a few months might prove to be a challenge, although If I really wanted to I could save the links to them somewhere _ )
If you were in one of my circle and you're not now, I'm sure I'll find you again soon... :)
Do you have a camera and would like to learn more about ISO, APERTURE, SHUTTER SPEED and LIGHT? you might want to take a look at this interactive tool.
Testing sharing this via Picasa ... it appears that All of my Google Plus Albums have disappeared. I keep getting a 500 server error, so will try to find them again later. My G+ profile says that I have not uploaded any images.
However, my images are still visible on Picasa (web) but the links between my Picasa desktop and my G+ page seems to have gone. Not sure if it's a temporary blip and whether others have the same the problem?
I have a Three Thousand Five Hundred word essay to write, relating to photography, before February, for my degree course , I figure If you all send me one word (there are 4476 of you that could possible read this), lol, I could come up with something really unique
I say :O) COVER PHOTOS JUST GOT HUGE ON GOOGLE PLUS!
the possibilities are endless although I really don't want to let my swirly, twirly creations created by +Dunken K Bliths go... :O) not sure what to do with all this creative opportunity yet....what have you done with yours???
thanks Ruben...for head butting me accidently earlier this evening, not only have I got a rotten cold but now I can't even see out of my right eye - I look like I've been in a boxing ring....you might be cute in those glasses mate but your head is like concrete ♥ ouch x
Hello ! :) I've just been for a walk....MASSIVE double rainbow best one i've ever seen, right from one side of the valley to the other :O)) only had my 50mm so didn't get it all but it sure was beautiful ♥ .... got soaked on the way back by hail, good times ! Have a great time yourself the sun is STILL out here !!
4.22am - just back from second trip to the vets with Woody this evening/morning. In discomfort since late evening. He's resting now - sedated. Vet had to put a tube down his throat to try to relieve a mild bloat in his stomach. Pain killers and sedative have knocked him out. Will have to wait to see how he is in the morning before i'll know what to do next.
very scary stuff. poor Woody xxxx :( Still he's managed to have some fluid drained from his stomach so it is not twisted, prob due the fact that this time last year he did have bloat and had to be operated on. At that time they stitched his stomach to the body wall thereby stopping it from twisting in future and this seems to have worked in his favour this evening Still not sure how he will be in the morning, it was not possible to remove all the gas, only possible to relieve it slightly.
i hope it doesn't fill up again, will have to wait and see.
I'm shattered and off to bed x
All my best Heidi
....bill over £600 already ... will be phoning the insurance in the morning to make sure it's covered.
last Summer I turned around to see Frodo returning to me with a dead hare he'd found in a hedge. I suspect a fox had already killed it, I know Frodo didn't.
Dogs do things like this, they bring you dead things, like cats do. They are driven by their canine instinct. Whether we like it or not... it's in their blood.
.... I thought I'd step out a little.... I've just added 500 people to my circles, you already had me circled ...if you're in the circle shared here I'm taking about you! :O)
I have no idea who you are, but all that could change in the comments that follow down there ↓ :O)
if you're a weirdo we might part company a bit sharpish, lol, so take it easy and lets get to know each other ♥ in a friendly sort of way (artistic creative weirdo's accepted and encouraged)

. My friends, we will not go again or ape an ancient rage, Or stretch the folly of our youth to be the shame of age, But walk with clearer eyes and ears this path that wandereth, And see undrugged in evening light the decent inn of death; For there is good news yet to hear and fine things to be seen, Before we go to Paradise by way of Kensal Green..

Photographers who compose a picture in a similar way to an existing image risk copyright infringement, lawyers have warned following the first court ruling of its kind.

Here in a quiet and dusty room they lie, Faded as crumbled stone or shifting sand, Forlorn as ashes, shrivelled, scentless, dry - Meadows and gardens running through my hand.
In this brown husk a dale of hawthorn dreams; A cedar in this narrow cell is thrust That will drink deeply of a century's streams; These lilies shall make summer on my dust.
Here in their safe and simple house of death, Sealed in their shells, a million roses leap; Here I can blow a garden with my breath, And in my hand a forest lies asleep.
He took the image without asking and put some idiotic face on it. What a stupid thing to do. This is not how I intended this image to be viewed and I'm very annoyed. :(
Good morning folks, does anyone know the best site to check travel conditions on the web?? I've been looking at the AA, BBC and Sky but none seem really useful...
Any help appreciated x Need to Check the M4 from London to Bristol.
Dear friends :O) if you have a couple of minutes to spare and you fancy submitting a review (a couple of lines) on my brand NEW listing over on the +The Good Dog Guide website here's a link for you to follow ♥
The staff at +The Good Dog Guide were fantastic and helped me customise my listing completely until it was just right. A HUGE thank you to the all the team there for answering all my queries and promptly making all the alterations I suggested.
If you do choose to post a review for me, whether its about my images or my listing I'd be very very grateful. This is the first of what might become a regular event...of FUN ON FRIDAYS! I thought it might be fun to GET CREATIVE with the G+ Community via an EVENT :) This one is all about FILM STRIPS created from your own pictures.
Attached is a 2 minute tip from +Gavin Hoey on how to create a film strip using +Adobe Photoshop.
Gavin is a superb tutor and makes learning new photographic skills a lot of fun, it's so easy! I often post his excellent tutorials over on my G+ page +Photographic Learning Resources
Why not have a go? I'm posting my first attempt from a few years ago, it's not all that .. lol, I'm sure I could do better but it was great fun.
I look forward to seeing yours here soon - you can post as many as you like so long as they are in the film strip format. Anything else will be removed - cheers ♥
SHOOTING DOGS IN ACTION AT HIGH SPEED with a CANON 7D
A little bit of shooting info for +Evelyn S. Lamprey :)) who has some dogs to photograph soon
this picture... Ruben & Keltoi Camera: Canon EOS 7D Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800) Aperture: f/4 Focal Length: 50 mm ISO Speed: 100
I like to keep my ISO as low as possible, I dislike seeing noise. Of course the available light is never always as nice as it was on this day.
My next consideration is of course the speed they are moving at so I shoot these in "shutter priority".
I use Manual selection: Spot AF and focus on the dogs eyes but sometimes I use the AF Points 19-point all cross-type AF ... I can focus and then "Lock" the focus so the the 7d tracks them as they move. There's a video that is really great at demonstrating this but i'm not sure how much use it would be for you since you have a Canon 5d and I'm not familiar with the specs. :) let me know if you would like the link and i'll find it for you.
I'll generally favour a shallow depth of field - which leaves me free to maintain a higher shutter speed.
I also always shoot High-speed continuous 8.0 frames per second.
Keep an eye on over exposure if your shooting white dogs on a bright sunny day - watchout for blown out highlights.
Hope that helps ♥
Best of luck with your shoot and please let me know if you post some images :)) I'd love to see them x
Question about +SmugMug & the elusive Google Plus 1 Button....
I've just spent over an hour Googling and searching Smugmug and Digital Grin, I also checked out +SmugMug Users Group here on G+, to no avail.....
Could anyone please tell me and others what the latest news on the integration of the Google Plus 1 Button to +SmugMug is?
I've not been able to find any recent updates or comments about the subject.
I've read a little about adding the Plus 1 Button manually but CSS and Java script and all that code frighten the pants off me...
Does anyone have an "idiots guide" on how to manually add the button while we wait for +SmugMug to add it fully, please? I know I can find the button info here https://developers.google.com/+/plugins/+1button/ (I think thats correct)
