As Maria Robinson once said, "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." Nothing could be closer to the truth. But before you can begin this process of transformation you have to stop doing the things that have been holding you back.
Some ideas to get you started:
1.) Stop spending time with the wrong people. – Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you. If someone wants you in their life, they’ll make room for you. You shouldn’t have to fight for a spot. Never, ever insist yourself to someone who continuously overlooks your worth. And remember, it’s not the people that stand by your side when you’re at your best, but the ones who stand beside you when you’re at your worst that are your true friends.
2.) Stop running from your problems. – Face them head on. No, it won’t be easy. There is no person in the world capable of flawlessly handling every punch thrown at them. We aren’t supposed to be able to instantly solve problems. That’s not how we’re made. In fact, we’re made to get upset, sad, hurt, stumble and fall. Because that’s the whole purpose of living – to face problems, learn, adapt, and solve them over the course of time. This is what ultimately molds us into the person we become.
3.) Stop lying to yourself. – You can lie to anyone else in the world, but you can’t lie to yourself. Our lives improve only when we take chances, and the first and most difficult chance we can take is to be honest with ourselves. Read The Road Less Traveled .
4.) Stop putting your own needs on the back burner. – The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too. Yes, help others; but help yourself too. If there was ever a moment to follow your passion and do something that matters to you, that moment is now.
5.) Stop trying to be someone you’re not. – One of the greatest challenges in life is being yourself in a world that’s trying to make you like everyone else. Someone will always be prettier, someone will always be smarter, someone will always be younger, but they will never be you. Don’t change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love the real you.
6.) Stop trying to hold onto the past. – You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one.
7.) Stop being scared to make a mistake. – Doing something and getting it wrong is at least ten times more productive than doing nothing. Every success has a trail of failures behind it, and every failure is leading towards success. You end up regretting the things you did NOT do far more than the things you did.
8.) Stop berating yourself for old mistakes. – We may love the wrong person and cry about the wrong things, but no matter how things go wrong, one thing is for sure, mistakes help us find the person and things that are right for us. We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come.
9.) Stop trying to buy happiness. – Many of the things we desire are expensive. But the truth is, the things that really satisfy us are totally free – love, laughter and working on our passions.
10.) Stop exclusively looking to others for happiness. – If you’re not happy with who you are on the inside, you won’t be happy in a long-term relationship with anyone else either. You have to create stability in your own life first before you can share it with someone else. Read Stumbling on Happiness.
11.) Stop being idle. – Don’t think too much or you’ll create a problem that wasn’t even there in the first place. Evaluate situations and take decisive action. You cannot change what you refuse to confront. Making progress involves risk. Period! You can’t make it to second base with your foot on first.
12.) Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.
13.) Stop getting involved in relationships for the wrong reasons. – Relationships must be chosen wisely. It’s better to be alone than to be in bad company. There’s no need to rush. If something is meant to be, it will happen – in the right time, with the right person, and for the best reason. Fall in love when you’re ready, not when you’re lonely.
14.) Stop rejecting new relationships just because old ones didn’t work. – In life you’ll realize that there is a purpose for everyone you meet. Some will test you, some will use you and some will teach you. But most importantly, some will bring out the best in you.
15.) Stop trying to compete against everyone else. – Don’t worry about what others are doing better than you. Concentrate on beating your own records every day. Success is a battle between YOU and YOURSELF only.
16.) Stop being jealous of others. – Jealousy is the art of counting someone else’s blessings instead of your own. Ask yourself this: “What’s something I have that everyone wants?”
17.) Stop complaining and feeling sorry for yourself. – Life’s curveballs are thrown for a reason – to shift your path in a direction that is meant for you. You may not see or understand everything the moment it happens, and it may be tough. But reflect back on those negative curveballs thrown at you in the past. You’ll often see that eventually they led you to a better place, person, state of mind, or situation. So smile! Let everyone know that today you are a lot stronger than you were yesterday, and you will be.
18.) Stop holding grudges. – Don’t live your life with hate in your heart. You will end up hurting yourself more than the people you hate. Forgiveness is not saying, “What you did to me is okay.” It is saying, “I’m not going to let what you did to me ruin my happiness forever.” Forgiveness is the answer… let go, find peace, liberate yourself! And remember, forgiveness is not just for other people, it’s for you too. If you must, forgive yourself, move on and try to do better next time.
19.) Stop letting others bring you down to their level. – Refuse to lower your standards to accommodate those who refuse to raise theirs.
20.) Stop wasting time explaining yourself to others. – Your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t believe it anyway. Just do what you know in your heart is right.
21.) Stop doing the same things over and over without taking a break. – The time to take a deep breath is when you don’t have time for it. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting. Sometimes you need to distance yourself to see things clearly.
22.) Stop overlooking the beauty of small moments. – Enjoy the little things, because one day you may look back and discover they were the big things. The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you. Little Wonders - Rob Thomas
23.) Stop trying to make things perfect. – The real world doesn’t reward perfectionists, it rewards people who get things done. Read Getting Things Done.
24.) Stop following the path of least resistance. – Life is not easy, especially when you plan on achieving something worthwhile. Don’t take the easy way out. Do something extraordinary.
25.) Stop acting like everything is fine if it isn’t. – It’s okay to fall apart for a little while. You don’t always have to pretend to be strong, and there is no need to constantly prove that everything is going well. You shouldn’t be concerned with what other people are thinking either – cry if you need to – it’s healthy to shed your tears. The sooner you do, the sooner you will be able to smile again.
26.) Stop blaming others for your troubles. – The extent to which you can achieve your dreams depends on the extent to which you take responsibility for your life. When you blame others for what you’re going through, you deny responsibility – you give others power over that part of your life.
27.) Stop trying to be everything to everyone. – Doing so is impossible, and trying will only burn you out. But making one person smile CAN change the world. Maybe not the whole world, but their world. So narrow your focus.
28.) Stop worrying so much. – Worry will not strip tomorrow of its burdens, it will strip today of its joy. One way to check if something is worth mulling over is to ask yourself this question: “Will this matter in one year’s time? Three years? Five years?” If not, then it’s not worth worrying about.
29.) Stop focusing on what you don’t want to happen. – Focus on what you do want to happen. Positive thinking is at the forefront of every great success story. If you awake every morning with the thought that something wonderful will happen in your life today, and you pay close attention, you’ll often find that you’re right.
30.) Stop being ungrateful. – No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs. Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing. Alanis Morissette - Thank You (Video) (a-ha!;) _____

Perception is the organization, identification, and interpretation of sensory information in order to fabricate a mental representation through the process of transduction, which sensors in the body transform signals from the environment into encoded neural signals.
Although the senses were traditionally viewed as passive receptors, the study of illusions and ambiguous images has demonstrated that the brain's perceptual systems actively and pre-consciously attempt to make sense of their input.

Heyheyhowdyhihello ya'll! I keep seeing a lot more new people rollin' in daily, in addition to some friends I've invited on G+ board. I've seen some excellent info flowing around out there that has made my navigation through this wonderful new playground this last week effortless, entertaining & fun (as it should be;). I wanted to extend a welcome to all the new G+'ers ~wavestoyooknowwhoyouare!!~, and make a compiled list of all the info & resources I've ran across thus far.One Stop Google+ Info Shopping. I will add to this as I see more. Also? If you know of any good ones I've missed on this list please feel free to add them in the comments and I'll edit this post accordingly. _________________

Now then?.. Can I make one more crazy mel suggestion? Don't read all this, unless of course you want to & have plenty of time on your hands. I surely didn't read it all (gliiick=???) I advise you to: gloss it over, scan it supahcrazyquick (thank goodness for that speed readin' class G-ma insisted on for me in 2nd grade;), and Jump In! It's truly the best way to learn. I simply lovelovelove this man's work! His hauntingly gorgeous images mesmerize, inspire, completely enrapture my wild imagination and never fail to weave an intricate story through my mind. "My mind and ears are always open to something mind and soul awakening or emotionally arousing. I think more than anything else in the world, the human face expresses the most emotion, complexity, mystery and connection to us as human."— Michael Shapcott
"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because theyyou were able to connect experiencesthey'veyou've had and synthesize new things." — Steve Jobs
Internationally acclaimed body illustrator and photographer, Emma Hack, explores the notion of camouflage within her limited edition photographic images. Emma painstakingly camouflages the human form into the wallpaper or background design, using body-painting techniques - a unique medium mastered over a 22 year career. The final photographic image is a voyeuristic peephole of camouflage fantastically rendered on the canvas of the human body. To become a thing is to know a thing. To assume its form is to begin to understand its existence.
1. Do the opposite of what you were taught in school.
2. Care not for the opinions of others. They are based on their own thoughts and fears.
3. Study the work of other rebels. Steal things from them. Research with fury.
4. Forget about the competition. They are on a different path than you. Trends are for suckers.
5. “There’s nothing we really need to do that isn’t dangerous”— John Cage. Do the things that scare you on a daily basis.
6. Make a mess.
7. Embrace your darkside. Your so called “Dark Qualities” (or labels) are a source of great power. Find a way to incorporate them into your work. Feature them. Pay particular attention to what makes you angry.
8. Exercise your voice. Put your thoughts, ideas and opinions out into the world even if it scares the shit out of you (see number 5).
9. Expand your horizons. Leave home. Visit other places/cultures. Wander aimlessly.
10. Never limit your playtime. Even if your brain is telling you otherwise. All of your best stuff comes from it, if you allow yourself to remain open to the unknown.
11. Question EVERYTHING.
13. Follow your heart.

I did break a little self made rule I had in my head of smaller circles for sharing. I was going to keep it under fifty for bitesize amounts. scratch that idea for now. Rules are meant to be broken. http://goo.gl/oeEHw That said, I kept intact the fact that I dislike labels. I'm not sharing a only photography circle, a programmers only, tech experts, social media goorus, hanger outers, GooglePlus Gurus, engagers, most popular, neuroscientist of the year, etc... if you've read my about section of my profile you know what I'm on the hunt for. But wait! There's more! lol.. I threw an extra wild card in to mix up this stew even more, keepin' it fresssh. As I'd already broken a self set rule of mine — I took it one step further. In my G+Adventures I've also seen a lot of fantastic New People — small circler counts, just starting their journey and explorations into Google+. Not on any lists, not on any suggested user sites, not voted up. Igglydigglydah. The Hidden Jewels. I love 'em. So now well then! Get up on it.

Keep rockin' it out, people!
And a huge thank-you to all of you who've made this such an enjoyable experience for me. ___________

For those of tl;dr mentality [http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/TL;DR]? Skip this post. It's long-winded as it's something I've been pondering for awhile now in my observations and online travels.
The thing is; as much as it fascinates and thrills me with any and all types of information available in one simple click of a button, it has some elements that make me uncomfortable. I can't even begin to tell you all I've learned online since logging into my first computer about seven years ago. I find it absolutely amazing. Things that have been completely life-changing, income producing & knowledge enhancing. Other things... that I'd.. rather not know. (I won't be able to un-see that.)
I strive to find a healthy balance in my fascination. Really — it's something I'm conscious of. Maybe even overly? I take breaks. Intentional breaks. I unplug. Or take off to explore and learn in other lands — with tunnel visioned focus. To keep my mind fresh. To re-gain focus. Read a book, and snort the real paper pages with glee, while marking up the margins with notes scribbled in my non-legible chicken scratch (my handwriting used to be beautiful =/) I don't like anything having control of me. Breaks from the monotony of information overload. Will I miss something? Yes. Do I care? Not particularly. If it was that important to my corner of the world, it'll find it's way back to me.
Perhaps because I know I'm setting an example for my teen-age daughter who has a fleet of nimble fingered, textingly zombified friends & computerized families who can't make eye contact at dinner due to texting/social media addiction? [Negative Effects of Facebook] | [http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/all-about-addiction/201111/internet-addiction-epidemic-or-fad], and I find it completely disrespectful, and honestly? Kind of sad. Maybe I'm just set in my freakishly old-fashioned ways? I'm not certain many kids today realize the importance of the digital footprints they're leaving in this technological grid, that will follow them throughout life. That has the possibility to help them or hurt them in their searching for future employment.
Through social medias I've seen lots of good, and lots of bad. As with everything. Businesses built, and businesses destroyed. For every new couple I've seen fall in love? I've seen marriages disenegrate, trusts betrayed. For every overnight internet sensation I've seen shoot to fame out of the blue sky from a youtube video that went viral; I've seen children (and adults) bullied with a new level of cruelty we didn't have to deal with on the playground while we were growing up.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-internet, or planning to go live in a forest. Nor am I trying to be a debbie downer for all the tech evangelist (before you get out your internet base-ball bats on me). I realize it's an incredible tool that's not going anywhere, only growing by leaps and bounds daily. Unlimited potential. I realize this. It's not the tool; it's how you use the tool. Or even? If the tool ends up using you.
My question is; to all of the "Social Mediaist" self proclaimed, numerically or monetarily. Using it professionally or for your personal pleasure. How do you not get burnt out on it? How do you keep a fresh mindset & a feeling of healthy balance?
I'm curious and curiouser... Anyone care to share your own methods for staying "technologically balanced" as we learn to navigate this ever expanding digital terrain?
♦ 3 parts Spicy Hot V-8 ♦ 1 part vodka of choice ♦ 2 splashes o' Worcestershire ♦ 1 squirt o' Sriracha Sauce (or more if you like it trueJohn Mellencamp - Hurts So Good style - uh!;) ♦ 1 grate o' fresh horseradish ♦ 1 sprinkle o' celery salt ♦ 1 squeeze o' lime ♦ 1 pinch o' pepper ♦ 1 celery stalk, a couple olives, and a few pepperoncinis for good luck
Mix that bad-daddy up, rim glass in creole seasoning, pour over ice and enjoy. ;-)
Melody Disclaimer: Do not drink & drive after consuming this concoction. This recipe is not for the under-aged whom might see this out there, unless you omit the vodka. Fo' real. Nor is this recipe for the faint of heart. If the spice interferes with your abilities to breath properly. =/
RESHARE: Oddly enough? Since retiring being somewhat joyfully inactive on most social mediasSh (<-- said like sean connery;) This technique is working quite well for me. Sure.. I might draw a few odd stares here and there, but the entertainment that ensues is usually quite worth it. LOL! Holla!! ;D (h/t to yet another fav G+ smile giver +Rick N;)
Now then. Let's just hope I don't get locked up. O.o
RESHARE: I think? I t-totally agree, Meester +martin shervington ;-) If by chance you think you're too old to have a 'happy childhood'? Think again. I'm already on my 7th childhood. (<-- wot?! you say? YES!)
1.) Always be looking (notice the ground beneath your feeteverything!:) 2.) Consider everything Alive & Animate. ("It's Alive!!!") 3.) Everything is interesting (look closer) 4.) Alter your course often. (mix it up! keeps your mind fresh-ER) 5.) Observe for long durations (and short ones;) 6.) Notice the stories going on around you. (they are everywhere... ) 7.) Notice Patterns. Make Connections. 8.) Document your findings in a variety of ways. (field notes, take pics, write a song, scribble it on a napkin!) 9.) Incorporate Indetermindancy. (delicious ambiguity;) 10.) Observe movement. (and stillness) 11.) Create a personal dialogue with your environment.Talk to it. (I won't think you crazy;) 12.) Trace things to their origins. (become your own 'life scientist') 13.) Use All Of The Senses in your investigations. (life is art;)

That was just me... fallin' off mah unicorn. ~splat~ =/ No worries. I'm up again. ~armsinthaairforproof~ \o/
No One has the right to judge you. Same as I don't them. I'd not take the right to even begin to think I know their story, or walked in their shoes, just as they've not mine. They have no idea. Nor do I, or will I pretend to.
Hey Hiiiiii! justamel - a peek from behind the rainboweyeball to let you know I'm still alive \o/ I'va been off pondering, researching & exploring moremoremore — as I doo. I'd grown sick n' tired of some old, mundane life habits of mine (& still kicking some out, imma work in progress - aren't we all? Hello, my fellow human becomings. Life ain't easy sometimes. Ouch =/)
If life's an art, and I'm the artist? (my self-given mantra) I decided it was well beyond time to get my game on & walk my talk, more. I thought I had been, but - no. I wasn't. Straight up. Not to my standards. Can you call yourself on your own bullshit? I did. And do - Daily. Plus a small handful of sacred friends. I do know I was am well past due to dive down the rabbit hole, deeeeper. Learning = Life = Constant Evolving - every day, to me.
I'm making progress... even back-steppin' baby-steps count. Yesa!~celebrates with herself~Kool & the Gang - Celebration (<-- i do this.) I need ya to know, that everytime I post anything 'inspiring' - it's not to shove rainbows and unicorns down your throat. It's to remind myself. See. Yes. True story.
So what'd you do Mel? Nothing? Or something? Got something to 'show for it'?::
Welllll.. I took a few real-time-brain-filling-mind-expanding classes in my spare time (now I lust more, oh mah lust for knowledge.. insatiable! gimmemore. everyday.), workshops, absorbed info galore, observed, exploring new opportunities, new tools, meeting incredible new teachers (daily - ps? you all are some of them - for that I thank-you, endlessly - in ways I need to not be too shy to describe to you - maybe someday I'll overcome that too). I'm doing stuff I'm uncomfortably afraid of (s t r e t c h i n g m y s e l f - ouch! John Cougar: Hurts so good =/), paying attention to some harsh critiques (to a degree, while remaining me - walking the line as close as possible), unplugging, de-constructing former bridges of unsatisfied results & building new ones.
I grew tired (& quite un-impressed) of old 'jobS', and I went out and found a new one. Get. Outta. Town! Just to see if I could. An' lo' & behold. I did. Thrilled? Not yet. But! Boom-ba-da-bing. Complete opposite direction of my current knowledge and skill-set, even interests (omg, who talked me into this shit?) Can't never could. A whole new respect has been found. Story there too. ~mental note~
By my weirdmelgatherings; you can sit there and cry about _____ in a corner? Or? You pick yourself up and re-create, re-calibrate, re-write, your story: goo.gl/weX56. "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out screaming DAMN! What a ride!"
It'sa.... Storytime With Melody Moment! ~insert jazzhands here \o/~ ;D
So last week, I accidentally learn a beautiful life lesson; in an amusement park of all places. Who'da thunk it? I'm walking along, lalallalala...with my fairy godmother (everyone should have one;) We happen to be by the biggest, most monstrous beast in the park =/ → Diamond Back Ride at Kings Island
She looks over at me, and says, "ooOoh! Let's do it!"
I look up, and up and up... at all 235 ft of twisted metal engineering awesomeness, eyes huge..I say.. "Well, Hell NO!"
She looks back at me and says, "Why not? You only live once. You can't do it? Chicken."
Now.. she knows the best way to get me to do something, is tell me I can't. I accept her challenge. Scarily I buckle up and get harnessed in - tight! My heart in my throat as we made the sl o o o o ow motion climb to the top of that hill. I quit breathing. (!) My whole body was electrically terrified as we get closer and closer to 'The Drop', I'm about to burst from anticipation overload - I scream at the top of mah crazy lungs as I saw my whole life flash before me with each twist, turn and drop. Seems like time stopped. Ride went on forever... as I slowly opened one eye, peeking to see if I was still alive as we finally skidded into home base. I let out about the biggest laugh of my lifetime, as I realized I lived to tell. LOL! Woohooo! At this rate I could become an adrenaline junkee. Talk about a natural high.
My point is (I most often have one, never fear;) - I've applied the thought of taking that leap of faith, and knowing I'll live to tell, even if it absolutely terrifies me - to many scenarios this past week. Knowing that stretching myself, and growing - even if uncomfortable in the process - is where I'm gonna get The Best Fruitssss. So you scared of it? Do it. Jump. Believe you'll not only live to tell, but learn a helluva fun lesson in the process. Journey-Dont Stop Believing
LOL! Can you tell I'm pumping me up again? I am. Maybe you too in the process? Wanna go ride a coaster with me? Let's do it.
RESHARE: The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad? Alice: I'm afraid so. But I'll tell you a little secret. All the best people are.

:: Flixel iPhone App Turns Pics Into Artsy Animated GIFs
Well, this is almost enough to make me wish I'd held out for an iPhone. If you’re a fan of +Kevin Burg and +Jamie Beck's animated-GIF "Cinemagraphs", [http://cinemagraphs.com/] you’ve probably wondered: How could I make some of those myself? To use Apple’s trademarked-but-annoyingly-useful phrase, there’s an app for that. It’s called +Flixel Photos, and it transforms your iPhone’s camera into a Cinemagraph-making marvel. Get it here: http://flixel.com/ Thanks for the cool headz up +Calvin Lee, I've suggested it to a few friends who love it! ;-)

Alright, I gotta say - I get all sentimental this time of the year. Maybe overly so? Maybe not. Perhaps because I just got out of the last minute x-mas shopping chaos as I skid in riiight under the wire for a few final thing-a-ma-bobs ~wipes the sweat from her brow~ (& I promise myself every year I'm not gonna do this. yea right =/) I was sooo happy to be home. Thank goodness for the small moments. Might be all the magicalweirdness I've been through and lived to tell (woo! \o/ Life is definitely an adventure - eh? lol! err? Short answer: Yes. Might even be all these pics I'm thumb-nailing through looking for more surprise gifts to frame...iggly-diggly-dah... reasons, smeasons - it's for lotsa reasons actually.
But mainly? Because I want to spread my happiness in this exact moment and share it with you. If at all possible :)

We can now tell the story of our lives. How charming. I'm not heart touched; in the least. Some things? I don't want to share (I'm stingy, I admit it). Other life moments? I don't want to be reminded of (that's the past, man - move on). It may be fun to those who love living lives of complete transparency online? Every move, every step, The Police - Every Breath You Take. If that's your thing? You internet supahstah, you! More power to you. To each their own.
I'm a private person, on many matters. I want to hold some life moments sacred. Or atleast have a choice in the matter. Sometimes that choice in my privacies are not permitted by Facebook -- in the way they sneakily put settings back to 'default' (public) when they roll out new bells & whistles. I find that freakily invasive and disrespectful of them. Time and time again.
My take on it is simple: as long as you're aware of what they're usingyou&yourinfofor doing, and what you're out there: sharing, liking, reading, watching, listening to, socializing with - from the net rooftops? You have nothing to complain of as you leave your digital footprints across the lalalandoffascinationknowledge&ohmy realm of yourpastpresent&future The Internet. :: How To Steal Like An Artist (and 9 Other Things Nobody Told Me)by: +Austin Kleon
Every artist gets asked the question, “Where do you get your ideas?” The honest artist answers, “I steal them.”
1.) Steal like an artist. 2.) Don’t wait until you know who you are to start making things. 3.) Write the book you want to read. 4.) Use your hands. 5.) Side projects and hobbies are important. 6.) The secret: do good work and put it where people can see it. 7.) Geography is no longer our master. 8.) Be nice. The world is a small town. 9.) Be boring. It’s the only way to get work done. 10.) Creativity is subtraction.
G+ Quickie Tips Newbie & Olbie Review (you might not have known...;)
1.) The / <-- symbol takes you Instantaneously to the Google Plus [Search Google+] Box at the top of your screen. Try it! Use this to find topics and/or people that interest you! Right now! Or? To see if what you think is 'postable' has already been 'over-posted' (if you even care "what's hot seekers";)
2.) G+ QUICKIE Cheat Sheet - http://goo.gl/iZgHZ * insert word(s) here * = Bold Type _ insert word(s) here_ = Italicized Type - insert word(s) here - = Strike Through Type
3.) Hit the black navigation bar at the top of your screen to instantly return to top of the page (the blank black area beside: Gmail | Calendar | Documents | etc.) instead of endless mouse scrolling back to the top of the page. Save those tippy tappers for more important matters!
4.) Fill in your current employment slot with what you want your 'picture mouse hover over' to say (or your occupation slot if you're not using the employment space). When I'm peeking people to circle back? Very first thing I do - to move fast - is look at their "blurb". The artistry and superb skill of +Jaime Ibarra [http://ibarraphoto.com] never fail to feed my imagination and inspire me. Mmh. My eyes drink his artwork. Check out this portraiture set of his. Pure. Gorgeousness...
Which quality do you value more in each pair? Is there any doubt that most of us tend to choose up sides between qualities, valuing one in preference to its opposite?
The less compelled we feel to defend who we are, the more energy we have to invest in becoming the best version of ourselves. Greatness demands both decisiveness and flexibility, courage and prudence, strength and vulnerability, action and introspection. The true measure of greatness is our capacity to navigate between our opposites with agility and grace — to accept ourselves exactly as we are, but never to stop trying to get better.
Personally? I consider it a talent to be able to turn on a dime - when needed. Why does it have to be one way or the other? It's not "good or bad" "light vs.dark". Flig that. Embrace all sides of yourself. It's a life skill. Besides the fact that I rather enjoy having my cake and eating it too Walkin' That Line. Mmh. - just like the Johnny Cash I Walk The Line*chomp*

❖ Those who win are producers, not consumers. The first thing you do each morning should be active, not passive– no Facebook, no email. Whatever you choose should put you in a state of mind for the rest of the day. Choose carefully. Priorities. Got 'em?. Yes? Yay! No? Get 'em. Pronto. What is of most importance to you?
❖ The goals others set for you are usually wrong. The people who give them to you seem well meaning, and they have more experience, too. But your heart will guide you better than anyone. Find internal markers to know if what you’re doing is right. a.k.a. - Intuiton.
❖ If you do two things at once, one of them is getting done wrong. No matter how wrong you think this is, or how many exceptions you think there are… I sincerely doubt it. Focus.
❖ Any organization that claims it has the answer is either wrong or lying. Sometimes it makes a fun game to try and guess which one it is they’re doing. You’ll also notice that, somewhere along the line, they want you to either buy something or work for free. Cut tha Bullshit. Investigate for yourself.
❖ Since everything is getting louder, seek out the places that are quiet. Sanctuaries are few and they all get a bad rap. Parks, libraries, and all the rest are places to make sure you have your head on straight. Go there. Find out what people think of you. Amplify it. Quit seeking others for 'answers'. Look into your own source.
❖ Everything that isn’t your main purpose should be either delegated or dropped. If you do this right, you should make more money, not less. Pay attention to what’s vulnerable, not just what’s strong. Actually, this also helps you predict trends in the marketplace, which is good for your pocketbook. Priorities.
❖ Take some time to do absolutely nothing. Meditate every day, if only for a minute. It produces an amazing ability to step back and escape whatever your usual patterns are. Be creative. Let your joy - surge. In whatever form. It creates sparks, equaling... pure beauty. I swear it. PS? I suuuuck at meditating. I always have one eye open, thinking... "you really meditating?? no way." ~tries to look convincing here~ =/ (how do y'all do that? teach meee!?;) So? I can't 'meditate? Creativity is my form of meditation. C'yup!
❖ Wear your heart on your sleeve. Do this no matter how many times you get hurt. Keep on feeling, no many how many times lessons leanrt. All growth. I promise.
❖ Join a movement. Or better yet, create one. The whole world is ready to be changed by someone just like you. I need you. Your story? Life. Inspires. Me. And sooo many others, you might not even realize. Swear it.
❖ The world is going faster, but that doesn’t mean you should. Slow is good too. Smart? Is not always faster. Remember some good old-fashioned ways.
❖ Find the time to think. Freewriting produces more clarity, and reduces stress, more than almost any activity. Flow, Mo! Cut. You. Loose~~~ We love it. I swear.
❖ Start a gratitude journal. Studies show it is the one thing that produces the largest change in happiness. I’ve had one for the past month and it’s been awesome. True. Story. Though mine so far is only mental ~starts writing it down~
❖ Have a quest. It fills your days with pregnant purpose and makes you live longer, too. VisionQuest. Googleit. Check out Carl Jung’s archetypes; he knew a thing or two. It’ll help you find your place in the grand scheme of things.
❖ Let everyone be. Don’t try to change them. They’re just following a larger pattern – and so are you.
❖ Go through your childhood and find what interested you. Combine those things and add a trend or two. Do it right and you’ll have a great business. It’s ok to get sidetracked.
❖ Don’t worry about wasted time.Start again today. As... today is a completely new day. Fresh canvas. Paint it.However.You.Want...

I haven't had time to play much in my G+ playground of late, but I had to pop in to tell ya how much I appreciate every bit of the the laughter, entertainment, eye-candies, toe-tappingly good musaac, educational nuggets o' wisdom and inspiration you all share with me. You've made my G+explorations here an absolute blast. Also to declare my New Year Resolution: I have no 'New Year' resolution. Every Day has the potential to be a clean slate. A fresh canvas to paint any color we want. Out with any old crap that wasn't serving its purpose, and in with the goodstuuuff!! Let's rock it out. You in?
I have a technologically embarrassing confession to make...
Welp... =/ I have something to admit to you all; I've held off on some new-fangled technologies for awhile now. Whaat? I've never claimed not to have selective delayed reactions. Or be tech savvy (I'm faaar from it — lemme tell ya — that's why I so enjoy learning from you all, and that I do.) I've resisted becoming one of them... duhn duhn duhnnnn ... I see 'em — their noses always tucked into a smart phone — while real live human beings & friends are right there in front of them? (huge pet peeve of mine) Basking in an addictively-eerie blue glow of 'always plugggged in'. (I've been known to take off with peoples cell phones, running lika looney down the block just to get a rise out of them.. well.. until I got arrested that time =/ ) Always checking in at every location, letting all know every move you make. No, thanks. Fine for some, not for me. To each their own.. but!.. I was always curious as to what they were so mesmerized by?
Now? I get it. =/ Yep. I think I've partially crossed over. The Doors - Break On Through (To the Other Side) In a recent upgrade on my cell phone, I went with a real live +Android dian deviceonian ~gasps!~ (I think it was subliminal +Google+ marketing actually. Y'all reeled me right in on it, good job!;)
I gotta admit — I'm utterly amazed and mesmerized by the power at my fingertips! Though I don't plan on being plugged in continually — checking my email, G+, social medias all the time, etc.. I am a huge fan of cleverness, creativity and things that make life more conveniently simple. All within a superbly sensitive slide of my fingertips? Get outta town! I love it! It's downright magical to me. All the apps out there?! Utterly fascinate me. I'm also enjoying seeing the huge difference in websites viewed on a PC and mobile device, it's important in my future plans. Certainly made me eat my words former thoughts. I confess.
I've gotten a few great apps to start my droid adventures, namely: photography toys for creative fun in my travels - PicsArt, Pixlr-o-matic. Shazam! - for more music explorations. Barcode Scanner (I can't stand not seeing a price listed! Plus also now being able to see the magic of QR codes) GPS & navigational apps (there go my former days of getting beautifully lost;)
That's just a tiny start, as there are so many! It's endless. I'm almost.. just almost neatness overwhelmed (yes, there is such thing;) I know I'm in the land of many Droid fans. Anybody out there have some excellent app recommendations that you just love and can't live without? Especially related to: art, photography, music & pure clevernessosity. Hit me with your personal favs! Amaze me more... Please?
I do hereby promise that I won't start posting pics of what I'm eating for breakfast, nor pics of my children (my beautiful angel baby, my red-headed husky watch beast or my gorgeous manchild — ᶠᵒʳ ᵃᵗᶫᵉᵃˢᵗ ᵃᶰᵒᵗʰᵉʳ ᵗʷᵒ ʷᵉᵉᵏˢ;)
