Plodda is situated some three miles beyond the village of Tomich on the unclassified road leading to the small hamlet of Cougie. There is a car park with several picnic tables set amongst trees. The Forestry Commission have waymarked two circular forest walks that both take in views of the Falls. The Falls Walk is approximately 1 mile (allow 30 mins) while the longer Tweedmouth Walk is almost 2 miles (allow 1 hour). You will also find several forestry tracks that allow you to extend the routes on foot or by mountain bike.
The Falls can be quite spectacular even in the summer months. In winter time they can freeze over and present a challenge to ice climbers. There are two viewing platforms, one at the top and the other near the base. Have a waterproof handy at the lower one especially after heavy rainfall! There is a new wooden platform at the top of the Falls, replacing the old iron bridge built by Lord Tweedmouth in 1889. This had deteriorated badly over the years despite several attempts to repair it and eventually had to be closed for safety reasons. The replacement gives a birds eye view right over the lip of the Falls.
The area around the Falls is a rich and diverse woodland. Around 1900, Lord Tweedmouth planted a large number of Douglas Fir, Larch, Giant Redwood and specimen conifers. Together with the native tree population they have combined to provide an ideal habitat for the likes of the red squirrel and a wide variety of bird and insect life. Some of the Douglas Firs are now an impressive 200ft tall!
The common bluebell flowers in April and May. The flowers are lavender-blue, pendulous, tubular with the petals recurved only at the end, and borne on one side of the flowering stem only.

There is important information here. Please re-share!
Public images posted on Google+ can be displayed in any context. Any webmaster can use the "img src" tag to embed the images in their own pages and have that content served by Google. I recommend that people "send feedback" suggesting that Google have a way to limit the viewing of photos to the context of Google+, either always or by user choice.
My "collection" pages below are doing this exact thing. All of the images on those pages are being served by Google who has a license to do so. I'm somewhat surprised they allow this but they do. I'm not trying to rip anyone off. All these photos are public and my generating script supports a few tags to allow contributor control. Adding "#g+only" to the post will cause my script to ignore the post. Also, some curators have requested that submitted images not be collected by default. In that case, you can add "#share" to request my script include it in the collection.
Note that me including or not-including your public images in my collection is not the real issue. I give full attribution to both the original post and the contributor. I could easily stop creating the collections but that would only hide the issue while others can continue to abuse your rights. I believe that you as the artist is better off being informed about the issue so you can make the appropriate choices. Limited distribution (i.e. not "public") is currently your best defense.
Lastly, I'm still debugging my script. If you posted something that wasn't found, please send me a link to the original post.
Well it is Saturday the 5th of November so here in the UK it means Fireworks.
Did not have a lot of time with this, mad dash across the city and back. Found a different location (it was dark very dark) about a mile away. Set-up and managed to get 5 shots before it was all finished...
RESHARE: Oh what a function to click and see all the posts that you gave a +1
Reshared text: Dear Google Plus, (share this post if you agree)
We want to see our favourite posts in one place.
Please add a link to the left which I can click on a see a list of all the posts here which I have +1'd.
I'm getting tired of asking. Yet you seem to keep adding things which people are not asking for. Like the 'What's hot' link and the YouTube 'kind of playlist' thing.
You are called Plus. We Plus things when we like them. We want to see them again some day. Give us this very, very easy-for-you-to-implement filter link for the left menu.
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST IF YOU AGREE. DONT JUST PLUS IT (though thanks!). SHARE IT. SPREAD THE WORD! NO ONE ELSE (but the author) CAN 'READ' A PLUS!
And no, I do not mean the +1 tab on the profile page. (So many people think that's it) That tab lists the 'external web urls' on which I have clicked a +1 button. NOT the Google Plus posts I have +1'd
For any peeps who join this page and reshare this post, I will award by random draw any 8x10 print from my digital art album (more at my personal profile) this weekend. I will make an announcement here on this page on Sunday, November 13 at 6PM EST. Your chances are very good because there aren't very many of you here :)
I do appreciate you helping me get the word out about my new page and various art genres.
Reshared text: Please check out my entry to the "Google Photography Prize" lucky enough that I am back in studies at the Open University (UK) this year so can enter. If you like the images then please give them a click. Thanks. Please click the link and give the +1 to the album.
RESHARE: Please all +1's back to the original photographer...Thanks

Just learned from +sly vegas that this is #SanFranciscoSaturday. Yay for my favorite city! Here's some love for a bridge that doesn't get quite as much attention as our famous Golden Gate.
This is one of a handful of scenic/artsy photos that I'm selling prints of (or trying to), so if anyone is so inclined: http://funcrunch.zenfolio.com/sf-scenic
Reshared text: Here is the popular Pay It Forward circle. ( #PayItForward )
I first though that starting in one of the small circles was a good idea but now I think going for one that is nearly full will work better - so pay it forward
(follow directions below to ADD yourself)
Thanks +Stuart Williams For the crazy idea!
1) Add This Circle To Your G+ Circles 2) Go to your Cricles and Add Yourself to it 3) Add one person you admire that isnt in the circle already 4) Share your circle on your page, and include +Folletto Folletto So he could sum all the circles up and keep everyone in!
Tonight was really Crazy! Let's See if we can keep it going!
Please copy and paste instructions into your Circle Description when sharing, including this sentence. FOLLOW (directions) & PAY IT FORWARD, everybody gets in.
For those new folks that have added me - thanks. My entries to the Google+ Photo Competition, hope you like them - if you do why not give them the +1 #invernessphotographic

Reshared text: Group "10.000 Photographers Around The World" - Part II Unfortunately I had to close the 1. post, because there is a limit of 500 comments per post on Google+. Therefore, I open here the same article again: I'm sorry, but such a great interest I did not expect. Do not worry, all have their turn. It just takes some time. I ask for your understanding!
Here again the original text:10000 Photographers around the World Due to massive technical problems it is necessary to transfer the group "10000 Photographers" to a new server with new rules and conditions:
10000 Photographers around the World http://gpc.fm/l/10photographers As a new and special service I'm going to share all members of this group periodically in circles. So you do'nt need individually add them to your circles. This new service is only in this group and list available and very comfortable. Google+ Counter has been created by +Ralf Rottmann We thank for that! Therefore, it is only fair that all members of the group "10000 Photographers“ add +Ralf Rottmann in their own circles. Unfortunately, there is no automatic way. Therefore, I must register all members of the group individually. This is very tedious and time consuming. Each profile ID must be entered individually. I therefore ask for your patience until I have transferred thousands of members. I cannot work the whole day only on it. I'm adding new members every day from my circles and those who register here. Approximately I've already entered 300 members. I have not taken over all members of the previous list. I've watched every single profile. I first added only persons from my circles and which have myself in their circles. That is not too much to ask for this job on one side. Furthermore, only real serious participants are included in the list. Those who commente here, are added first.
Rules and conditions to be, to stay and to get a member of Group "10000 Potographers": 1. You must share public this post in your stream! 2. You add the founder and curator +Robert SKREINER to your circles! . . This is necessary so that you can be informed about all changes. 3. You give +1 to this post and a comment, that you want to be added. 4. You add +Ralf Rottmann to your circles as thanks for Google + Counter! 5. You share always the new circles about this group! 6. You must publish at least one own photo per week at Google+ 7. You have to comment regularly on some photos of members of the list. 8. You must not be inactive for more than 4 weeks on G+ as a group-member!
Please don't forget to 'share public' this information and the regularly published circles! And of course +Colby Brown was the first on this list and therefore also his photo!
Reshared text: First public circle - Group 10.000 Photographers around the World 1.0 http://gpc.fm/l/10photographers If you like the circle please share it! All Members and interested parties please don't forget to share also this post!
This circle has only 450 members, because with 500 people in one circle there are often problems with adding, if someone has that day already added other people. I'm sorry, but missing 4 or 5 members. I can not find the error. Please report here. Members who have not shared the original post, were deliberately omitted, because it is not clear whether they also want to be in the public circle. But these are just a few. All other members will be in the second circle in the following days. All those who are not yet in the group will be added as soon as possible. Please be patient.
Thought I would attack the Christmas Tree for next years Christmas Card Images... Now just to find out which was is best. #Christmas #invernessphotographic

What a milestone for me... 2,000 followers which I think is great, remember starting out on G+ didn't think I would reach 100. Thanks to +Thomas Riguelle+Gaurav Singh+Martin Brechtl+Steffen Müller+Barbara Jones+Le Pascal who all added me today. It would be great to get in more shared circles and I might even reach 3,000! Thanks to all who have added me.
+Justin Hill - 10:14 - Public Share & Share Alike :- It's Saturday and I have decided that in view of recent circle sharing activities within the G+ community today shall be known by me as #shareday. Ha ha! Here's my list of 252 photographers that I follow and have circled. Some I have interacted with, some I have hungout with and some are in there purely because they create knockout photography. DON'T PANIC :- If you realize you are not in this circle try to stay calm as I have another circle for HDR photographers that I will be sharing soon (ish) so you may well be in there. Right, here we go then....
