There are a number of interesting facts about peanuts and peanut butter, but I for one was surprised to learn it takes 550 peanuts to make a 12 ounce jar of peanut butter? I remember my mother eating straight out of jars (each to her own) and just thought "if she ate say 1/5 of a j12-oz jar at one time she just at 110 peanuts." Not only is that a lot, but think about the time difference compared to cracking and eating 110 peanuts.
Question for today: What are some interesting ways/combos you eat peanut butter. P.S. Don't tell Mr. Peanut, but I love almond butter, too.
RESHARE: Here is what comes up for me when I go through the alphabet by entering the + sign and letting Google+ provide the first person that comes up. (I repeat, below is what G+ came up with. If you are not listed, no offense. :) Try it)
This is probably 90% accurate for whom I interact with on a regular basis (power engagers).

"Zig Ziglar passed from this world today after a short bout with pneumonia. Though his time on earth has ended, he is speaking with Jesus now in his heavenly home. The angels in heaven are rejoicing and his family is celebrating a life well lived.
If Zig has impacted your life or you want to leave a message to the family, please leave your remarks on his FaceBook page. Don't worry about being too specific or long. Take as much space as you want...the family wants to know.
Please check back on FaceBook as we will be posting when the memorial service will be held."
...until you consider how internet usage has changed since that time! In 1995, only 2% of buyers used the internet to search for a home. Last year, 90% of buyers reported using the web to find a home to purchase.
Seems crazy to think that any properties were bought and sold before the days of online MLS!

Thank you for being part of my life this year. It has been a wonderful year in many regards, but specifically, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, Google Plus, Hangouts, and all of you with whom I have gotten to know here have made it one of the most unique years. Thank you for your interaction. Thanks for being who you are! Thanks for enriching my life.
I look forward to getting to know everyone even better in 2013!
Hanging out with TGIF Business Networking Hangout with +Theresa Delgado+Meilani MacDonald and others while at a real life networking event. Call me crazy, or a Hangout junkie, either one fits. Ha!
Check it out every other Friday night. Tonights topic was on press releases and PR. Very informative -- and we always have fun. Thanks!
This will show you how old I am, in case you thought I was just 29!
This is the menu from a steakhouse I bussed tables at when I was 15 years old for $1.80/hour. Look at those prices! Look at the telephone numbers at the bottom. Who knows what decade this is from?
What would you wish for if you were granted one? I'm not talking about the "I would wish for million bucks" kind of wish, But a wish more connected with your real life.
Today, I was looking through some old pictures and found myself wishing I could spend 24 hours with my kids at this age. I think they are not quite to two, and three and a half in the picture below. Now, they are 13 and 15, right splat in the middle of teenage years. I need a break!

Reshared text: My Google+ in 2013 Connect. Engage. Manage. Improve. Achieve.
This is the methodology (known as the GROW model) I use to set and reach my goals. It's easy to understand, straightforward to apply and thorough.
Goals - What do I need to achieve? Where do I want to be? Reality - What is happening now? How far away I am from my goals? Options - What can I do? What are my opportunities for development? Way Forward - How and when will I do it? How will I sustain success?
I used it in 2012 for Google+ and I'll do the same for 2013. Have a great year 2013 on Google+ everyone. - Denis

Today is Love Note Day I got one from my daughter. It made me cry (of course, the contents are for my eyes only..)
Love Note Day It’s Love Note Day! The practice of writing and sending love letters has a long and illustrious history. Famous romantics like Lord Byron and William Shakespeare penned sonnets and odes, and inspired generations of young lovers to do the same.
A love note is any written expression of emotion addressed to a loved one. It can be short or long, formal or casual, poetry or prose. In Germany, love notes are delicately painted by hand on high quality paper and are considered folk art.
Love Note Day is the perfect time to recognize the people that you love. Send a modern-day love note by using one of our beautiful free eCards to let your loved ones know just how much they mean to you!
Happy Mother's Day (and Mr. Mom's Day to all you Dads filling both roles)! Thanks for all you do. It is not easy.
Mother's Day (and Father's Day) is one of the best commemorating days we have. Why? Because not a single person is left out. Valentine's Day may make those without "lovers" feel dejected. Not everyone sees the significance behind Christmas and Easter, or Hanukkah Very few people care about Presidents' Day or Columbus Day. Labor Day has become a barbecue day, ha!. The 4th of July and Memorial Day "should" be important to every American, but unfortunately, that varies on loyalty and political beliefs. On and on.....
But we can all celebrate Mother's Day! Heck, Mother's and Father's Day are the only days all 7 billion people on the earth can celebrate, even if, sadly, you don't have pleasant memories about your parents, or they are passed already, and all you have at the moment ARE memories.
My Mother's Day
Today, my kids and I am getting together with my family for Mother's Day, and mothers of the following categories will be present:
Grandmothers (my kids' grandmother) Mother-n-laws Mothers present and not present (my mother, etc.) One deceased mother (my kids' mother) Aunts who are mothers Sisters who are mothers New mothers one mother-to-be and one "Mr. Mom". (yours truly)
What about you, who will be present at your Mother's Day celebration today? If you are not getting together for some reason, don't forget to make a call to your mother (it is too late for a card).

It seemed more formal than I expected, but I understand since they only schedule an hour at lunch or breakfast times.
Ok, guys, after three months, I am finally going to start posting in communities more. When Communities came out, I had been posting on my personal profile since month one of G+, and was doing just fine, enjoying every minute of it, and spending a lot of time here, so I was not too motivated to add yet more time posting. If I am going to post, then I am going to interact. That's just social media 101, right? However, I have decided to hit the Communities I am a member of more often starting tomorrow. Don't worry, my profile stream is still, and will always be my #1 place. Too many great peeps here. :)
I thought I would add a picture to supplement my "It's going to be a great week.. " post. My son took it this morning with my iphone, unedited. Again, have a great day and week!!
Reshared text: 16 Of The Best Social Media Management Tools + Useful Resources! Social Marketing For Local Business
Hi everyone your good friend +Luis Galarza here with another post that hopefully help you improve your online effort. I was just talking about #socialmedia management with my good friend and #googleplus expert +Yifat Cohen, which inspired me to put together a list of all the best tools I and my team use to manage and mix engagement on social accounts of our company and for our local and global clients. Enjoy:
Daughter: Quick, give me your phone. I wanna take a picture of this. Dad: Why, it's just a bug. Daughter: it will make a cool pic for Instagram. Dad: <rolls eyes>, Really? (I don't use Instagram much) Daughter: See!
She got 46 likes on Instagram. So, I post it here for fun.
I have to rant a little about all the negative press on iOS6.
I have to say in the midst of all the complaints (by mostly Android fanboys and techies), that I think the #ios6 update rocks, as far as an iOS goes. While a person may prefer one operating system over another, or a particular maps over another, for the iphone 4 and 4S, this is considered a good update, IMHO, It is a lot faster, Siri is working like it should have a year ago, integration is better, battery life is longer, maps is not near as bad as folks say it is, and will only get better, sharing to Facebook and Twitter, etc. is easier, attachments can now be added in emails, etc.
Sometimes we are just too critical. Now, the iphone5 is a different story. I do believe the phone itself should have been more innovative. And, this doesn't mean I don't think Apple as a company isn't doing some things wrong.
RESHARE: My Daughter's Thoughts on Facebook and Today's IPO
I was explaining about IPOs and how they work, etc. to my 16-year old daughter yesterday, and that FB was the largest IPO in history, and how it makes money, etc. and she said "why? It is going down in popularity in my age group, and I don't know anyone who has ever clicked an ad, much less bought anything from FB." "What we do is post pics or mention a movie we saw or something. When we want to buy something we either go to Amazon or Google it."

I have been using this for a long time. I assumed you knew about it. Yes, it is a wonderful tool, one that I hope G+ just implements into their platform so, like you just experienced, you don't have to hope to "stumble upon" it.
Reshared text: How to Save or Favorite a Google Plus Post to Read Later
Yesterday +Bill Gassett and +Keith Bloemendaal called me out for my lack of engagement. These are brothers from another mother so I know they were letting me know I needed to get my act together. It wasn't because I was ignoring anyone. It was because my notifications would get lost. I sometimes see a number of 20 in the little red box and I can't get to them all.
Enter +Justin Scoggin who introduced me to the +Favorite Posts Google Chrome plugin. It is amazing! If you have ever had issues with notifications I strongly urge you to try this out. If you aren's already using Google Chrome, well, I will just shake my head.
How to you save Google+ posts? What is your favorite Chrome plugin for Google+?
RESHARE: Preaching to the choir! Google + on the upward move in social media.
Reshared text: Social is getting old; Facebook, Twitter and G+ attract baby-boomers According to the GlobalWebIndex between Q2 2012 and Q1 2013 Twitter’s fastest growing age demographic was 55 to 64 year olds, registering an increase in active users of 79%.
Both Facebook’s and Google+’s fastest growing age demographic was 45 to 54 year olds, growing by 46% and 56% respectively.
The other driving force behind the popularity of the big three is mobile. Since Q1 2011, the number of people which access the internet via a mobile phone has increased by 60.3%.
The good news for G+ is that the percentage of active users independent of age is rising. A 100% rise in posts and 75% in photos means these new people are actively contributing content. A key to survival for the content-centered G+-.
More posts means more results in search which will attract new users for G+. Now the question is who is seeing the growth in the younger demographics. Is Pinterest the new social?
Has Google Plus finally come of age? I hardly see circle shares anymore, which tells me, possibly, that the emphasis of deliberately growing Google Plus, and of early adopters helping newbies grow their circles has lessened.
Are you seeing the same? Is it a good or bad sign, or, just neutral?
RESHARE: Great info on real estate supply and demand.
Reshared text: Housing Supply is Low
A seller’s ability to sell their home in today’s real estate market will be determined by both the supply of homes for sale and the demand for that housing. In real estate, supply is represented by the current month’s supply of homes for sale (the number of homes for sale divided by the number of homes sold in the previous month).
While there is no steadfast rule that will apply to pricing in every category of housing, here is a great guideline:
1-4 months’ supply creates a sellers’ market where there are not enough homes to satisfy buyer demand. Appreciation is guaranteed. 5-6 months’ supply creates a balanced market. Historically home values appreciate at a rate a little greater than inflation. 7-8 months’ supply creates a buyers’ market where the number of homes for sale exceeds the demand. Depreciation follows. What is happening across the country right now?
In most parts of the country, supply is dropping like a rock. According to the National Association of Realtors, total housing inventory is below a five months’ supply. This is almost 20% below inventory numbers of just a year ago and at levels we haven’t seen since 2005.
Based on the table above, we can see that the supply/demand ratio is showing a sellers’ market where prices appreciate. This has created positive movement in housing values in most parts of the country.
Sellers have a great opportunity right now. Historically, inventory increases dramatically as we approach summer. Selling now while demand is high and supply is low may garner you your best price.

Items needed: 200 ml water 50 grams of brown sugar, 1 gram of yeast (yeast bread, found in any supermarket) and a 2-liter plastic bottle. [...]
How to make : * Cut the plastic bottle (PET type) in half. Storing the neck portion: * Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle. * Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide. * Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle. * Wrap the bottle with something black, minus the top, and put in some corner of your house.
In a week you will see the amount of mosquitoes and mosquitoes who died inside the bottle. Very useful and zero harm effect Mosquito repellent is ready.

- use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out - click and drag to pan right, left, up or down
Higher resolution photos will offer more to explore, so we're excited to launch pan and zoom just weeks after launching full-size backups of your Android photos (http://goo.gl/KRpjE).

7 Signs You Have Terrible People Skills is the title of the article below, but I prefer to say 7 Signs You May Need to Improve Your People Skills. Doesn't that sound more encouraging? :) I am all for self improvement, but I don't like all or nothing statements unless it truly that extreme, which in most cases it is not.
Sula nebouxii is a seabird that breeds in the islands of the Pacific Ocean, including the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador. The name booby comes from the Spanish term bobo (meaning 'stupid' or 'fool' or 'clown') because the Blue-footed Booby is clumsy on land. The blue color of the webbed feet comes from carotenoid pigments found in their food. The pigments are antioxidants and stimulants for the immune system. Females prefer males with brighter feet.
I have to say it, because G+ is the only place where folks can handle different opinions --- I think #Halloween is boring, and a waste of time and hard earned money. Just say'n..
I read an article in Forbes magazine about a new social media company on the block, and this sentence popped out "....while Google+ struggles to make it in the social media world....blah, blah, blah" Really? Google+ is "struggling"? Why is the media so biased against G+? It must be precisely because it IS GOOGLE.

We started to write collaborated short stories using Google Docs and within one year, it turned out to be enough for a novel. So we self-published it privately and designed the cover representing our gratitude to G+. We love this platform and hope it never gets axed like Google Reader.
Big shout out to the talented developers behind G+, and we really want to give you a copy of our book, titled “G+, Circle of Chickens”. (In Chinese the letter “G” sounds the same as "Chicken".)
Although it’s all in Chinese, I think you guys at Google wouldn't mind. Please contact me in anyway so I can send you a copy! It would really mean a lot to us.
G+ brought us together and brought our stories together. We all came from different places with various age and backgrounds: student, insurance guy, accountant, environmental inspector, marketer, gas station clerk, carpenter, quality control manager, hospital nurse, and even a shrink.

It seems like Bing is not only showing the knowledge graph like details about people on the right, which they have done for a while. But also they are showing image thumbnails of the author's picture for that specific snippet.
Whoa! This is new. Authorship snippets on Bing. They look the same but it seems like they're getting them via the knowledge graph (aka entities). I'm doing some due diligence and research this morning.
